Interdisciplinary Education

The purpose of the Interdisciplinary Education core function is to ensure that current and emerging efficacious scholarship and practices are reflected in all CCIDS course offerings and related academic activities. Interdisciplinary education activities are designed to ensure that people with disabilities and family members are partners in the planning and delivery of course offerings; instructors model interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning; technology is utilized to increase access to educational activities for unserved and underserved populations, including individuals with disabilities; curriculum content reflects current and emerging efficacious practices including a commitment to cultural competence; and the mission of the UCEDD is reflected in all educational activities.
