UMaine NH LEND Trainees and Community Fellows Attend Disability Policy Seminar and Meet with Maine Congressional Delegation on Capitol Hill

University of Maine trainees and community fellows from the New Hampshire Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (NH LEND) Program Partnership recently prepared a policy brief and met with Maine’s Congressional Delegation on the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. They were joined by colleagues from the Maine Developmental Disabilities Council, a partner in Maine’s Developmental Disabilities Network. The NH-LEND Program provides graduate-level interdisciplinary leadership training for students and professionals from diverse disciplines: the preparation of policy briefs and attendance at the annual Disability Policy Seminar in Washington, DC are key components of a policy assignment each spring.
