About:

I am a graduate student at the University of Maine in Orono obtaining my master’s degree in social work. My undergraduate degree is also in social work with a minor in Equine Studies. The combination of degrees will allow me to pursue avenues in Equine Assisted Therapy for children and adults with psychological challenges as well as those with various disabilities. I am dedicated to lifelong learning and my social work degree has provided me with the skills and awareness to promote human justice and to advocate for diversity and inclusion. I currently work at a farm in central Maine and facilitate Equine Therapy for those with varying disabilities. I mainly work with children but enjoy working with all ages. I recently started an equine therapy group for survivors of human trafficking in central Maine. These roles have increased my awareness of the need for a multidisciplinary approach among organizations to help those with various challenges in order offer the best service possible.
