Taylor Harris

Discipline: Communication Sciences & Disorders

About:

I am a graduate of University of Maine at Farmington where I obtained a B.S. in Community Health Education, along with a double minor in Nutrition Education and Child & Adolescent Health. This degree provided me with the skills to implement and administer health education strategies, interventions and programs; conduct evaluation and research related to health education; serve as a health education resource person; and communicate and advocate for health and health education. I am currently a student in the Communication Sciences & Disorders program at the University of Maine to obtain my master’s and become a speech-language pathologist. In the past year I have also worked as an education technician at a preschool for children with intellectual disabilities. Using my Community Health background, it is my goal to bridge the gap in communities to build strong relationships and advocate for children and families with disabilities.
