Introduction to Visual Supports in the Child Care Setting

Presented at the 2011 Bi-County Early Care & Education Conference April 9, 2011 at Sumner High School, Sullivan, Maine.
In this workshop participants learned what visual supports are and how visual supports can help all children to understand rules and expectations, engage in daily routines, navigate transitions, communicate thoughts, feelings and needs, and increase independence, access and participation in all child care routines and activities. Participants also learned how to make and use visual supports.
