Physician’s Fact Sheet: Improving Communication with Patients who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

The first in a new series of physician’s fact sheets published by the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities notes that “patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities are recognized as an underserved population that experience significant disparities in healthcare.” The fact sheet, Improving Communication with Patients who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (PDF), is written primarily for physicians and other health care professionals​.
