Three EC Practitioners First to Earn New Maine Inclusion Credential

Maine Roads to Quality (MRTQ) and the Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies (CCIDS) congratulate the following three early childhood practitioners for being the first in the state to earn the new Maine Inclusion Credential.

Bridget Barden: Teacher, Shunk Child Care in Portland, ME
Trish Mullins: Director, Casco Bay YMCA Preschool in Freeport, ME
Sasha Shunk: Owner, Shunk Child Care in Portland, ME

CCIDS Research Associates, Marnie Bragdon-Morneault and Jennifer Maeverde, were the leads in supporting these practitioners through the credentialing process.

Maine Roads to Quality and the Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies, in partnership with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Child and Family Services; have developed the Maine Inclusion Credential to help early childhood practitioners build the skills, knowledge, resources, and attitudes to offer care to all children in an inclusive environment.
