The Percival P. Baxter Foundation for Maine’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children (PPBF) is partnering with Rafi Nova to offer free Smile Masks for eligible families and professionals in Maine. In the COVID era, Smile Masks provide greater visual access for Maine’s Deaf and hard of hearing children.
This offer is open to Maine residents who: (a) are Deaf or hard of hearing children; (b) live with Deaf or hard of hearing children; or (c) are professionals who work with Deaf or hard of hearing children, including mainstream teachers, principals/administrators, educational technicians, speech therapists, and audiologists.
Please note: Professional orders are limited to ten masks per organization or institution.
Please note: A separate order form must be completed for each eligible individual and there is a limit of two masks per order.
Please note: Orders for Deaf or hard of hearing children must be submitted by family members and not by institutions.
Free Smile mask requests may be submitted by completing the online order form.
This offer is open until January 31, 2021 or when the PPBF’s allocated funds for this initiative have been exhausted, whichever comes first.
All orders are reviewed by PPBF and will be accepted, rejected or subject to a request for further information at the PPBF’s sole discretion.
Orders are processed once per week and anticipated delivery time is two weeks from processing. If you have questions about PPBF or this initiative, please email ppbfme@gmail.com.
