2026 Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

This March, AUCD is proud to celebrate Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by joining the We’re Here: Then, Now, Always campaign, led by the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities. The national initiative recognizes a simple truth: people with developmental disabilities have always been part of our communities and always will be. Through a powerful storytelling framework of Then, Now, and Always, the campaign reflects on a past marked by exclusion, highlights the full and vibrant lives people are leading today, and envisions a future where community living is protected, expected, and fully supported as part of a whole life. Building on last year’s We’re Here All Year initiative, the campaign launches in March 2026 and continues through February 2027. Follow along at #DDAM2026.
