Summer Work for ME: Providing a Pathway for Students with Disabilities to Gain Essential Skills for Adult Life

Abstract:
A collaborative pilot project involving three organizations to establish a meaningful paid career/job exploration program for high school students who have a disability. Initially based in the Bangor area, this successful program utilizes job coaches, creative resource sharing and regular check-ins with the students. Expanding to other parts of the state is being discussed.
