Accessibility and Assistive Technology

• AT4 Maine: Assistive Technology for All Maine People – A free service (try before you buy) offered by Maine CITE, Gallant Therapy Services, Pine Tree Society, SpurwinkALLTECH, and University of Maine Farmington.
• CAST (formerly the Center for Applied Special Technology) – A nonprofit education research and development organization that created the Universal Design for Learning framework and UDL Guidelines now used the world over to make learning more inclusive.
• Maine CITE – A program of the Maine Department of Education, designed to help make assistive technology more available to Maine children, adults and seniors who need them.
• Planning Accessible Meetings and Conferences: A Suggested Checklist and Guide (2020) PDF – This accessibility checklist, developed by the University of Maine Center for Community Inclusion and Disability Studies (ME UCEDD), in collaboration with people with disabilities, is designed to help any person, group, or organization plan a meeting or conference that is inclusive and welcoming for everyone.
