Reply to question: How have the IDS courses shaped your perspective of disability?

“The Interdisciplinary classes taught me that it is important to talk about disability everyday, and that it is not a taboo subject. In order to recognize the adversity that people with disabilities face in today’s world we all have to get the conversation started about disability and accessibility. These courses sparked internal conversations with myself and made me feel confident about discussing disability with others. Overall, being in this minor made me more aware of the world we all live in and showed me how necessary it is to make those around us more aware as well.”
